Actual Holographic mesh. Openings, LED positions and the supporting material can be inspected directly.

Compare the structure behind the product name

Products described as “holographic,” “invisible” or “transparent” can use different substrates, LED layouts and service methods. A rendered image of a floating object cannot show those differences. Ask for an unlit sample photograph, a close view of the LEDs and a drawing of the complete assembly.

Curent DOIT VISION Holographic uses open mesh with surface-mounted LEDs. Its integrated LED-driver static driving, parallel addressing and individual LED repair are the relevant features to compare against the architecture in another quotation. Similar words in a brochure should lead to the same configuration questions, whichever supplier is being considered.

For sun-facing glass, semi-outdoor sites and demanding long-term fixed displays, start with the Holographic project route. If the main requirement is indoor glass integration or a broad curved art surface, also consider Film LED. Select the product family for the environment before comparing technical details within it.

Keep the sample configuration tied to the quotation. Record the pitch, panel size, controller, driver arrangement and intended operating conditions. A sample that differs from the equipment being supplied cannot settle the purchase decision.

The photographs below show the physical difference between round apertures and other opening layouts. Look at how much supporting material surrounds each opening and where the LED packages sit. The samples were photographed at different scales, so compare the structures without reading a percentage transparency ranking into the pictures.

Sample photographs from the technical comparison (4 Dec 2025, p. 8). Inspect the opening, LED package and supporting material together; sample magnifications differ.

Check horizontal and vertical pixel pitch

Pixel pitch is the centre-to-centre spacing between neighbouring pixels. Ask for it in both directions. With equal horizontal and vertical spacing, the pixel grid samples image detail evenly along the two axes. With unequal spacing, a display may have different horizontal and vertical sampling density, even when its marketing name contains only one pitch value.

Holographic uses evenly spaced pixels in both directions. When comparing another design, ask for its horizontal and vertical pitch and the native pixel count of the proposed screen. A screen with the same physical dimensions can have a different resolution if either pitch changes.

Use thin lines, small text, diagonal edges and your actual artwork to compare samples at the intended distance. Keep the image scaling consistent: stretching content to a different aspect ratio can create a separate distortion that should not be confused with the pixel layout.

Also inspect the screen unlit. The shape of its openings and the visible supporting material affect the appearance through the display, but an opening shape by itself does not establish a whole-screen transparency percentage. Compare samples from the viewer’s position against the actual background.

Separate integrated drivers from scanning claims

Integrated LED-driver describes where the driver function is incorporated: in the LED package. Static driving describes how pixels are driven, rather than sharing row-drive time through multiplex scanning. DOIT VISION Holographic combines these two features; one term should not be used as a substitute for the other.

Package illustrations from the technical comparison (4 Dec 2025, p. 9). Left: driver inside the LED package. Right: a separate IC serving LED rows.

In a multiplex-scanned design, rows or groups are selected in sequence. In a static-drive design, pixels are driven without that row-selection cycle. Static driving still involves brightness modulation and content timing, so the word “static” does not mean that light output never changes over time.

Driving illustrations from the technical comparison (4 Dec 2025, p. 10). These illustrate pixel timing; camera performance must be evaluated with the intended settings.

For an installation that will be filmed, evaluate the complete display and camera combination. Keep the displayed content, operating brightness, camera frame rate, shutter setting and exposure comparable. Record the controller and display settings with the footage. A refresh-rate number or drive label alone cannot predict the result at every camera setting.

Look at dimmed operation as well as the expected daytime level. Gradients, dark tones and moving content can reveal different issues from a bright still image. Ask to repeat any comparison with the settings your production or venue actually uses, and retain those conditions in the acceptance record.

The panel-level comparison adds a second installation check: component placement. The illustrated integrated-driver mesh has a regular surface between its openings, while the other illustrated design carries external IC packages. Review their height, attachment side and clearances in the actual assembly drawing; the driving method and the mounting detail should refer to the same configuration.

Panel illustrations from the technical comparison (4 Dec 2025, p. 11). The enlarged areas show component placement, which matters when assessing mounting clearance.

Ask what happens after an LED fault

Current Holographic uses parallel addressing, allowing the remaining LEDs to receive data when an individual LED fails. The practical question is how far the visible fault extends: one affected LED, a downstream group or a larger area. Ask the supplier to explain that behaviour for the exact signal design being quoted.

Some serial designs add a bypass path around a failed point. Their behaviour depends on how the bypass works and which failures it can bridge. In some arrangements, adjacent faults can interrupt both available paths and affect downstream pixels. A claim of “breakpoint continuation” therefore needs a defined fault condition and signal-path explanation.

Signal-path illustrations from the technical comparison (4 Dec 2025, p. 12). Check how the proposed path behaves after one fault and after adjacent faults.

Distinguish an LED failure from a disconnected cable, damaged connection, power-supply fault or receiving-card fault. Parallel addressing at the LEDs does not make these separate parts immune to failure. Include the power and control layout when assessing how the installation is divided and serviced.

Ask for a documented demonstration or a supplier-controlled sample test of the stated failure condition. Record which component is affected and what remains operational. The original photographs below illustrate the difference between a local affected LED and an affected run. The markings identify the areas shown; they do not establish how often either fault occurs.

Fault examples from the technical comparison (4 Dec 2025, p. 3), with the original red markings retained. The source does not specify the test conditions; use these examples to define the fault demonstration required for your configuration.

Compare the repair unit and access

A trained technician can replace an individual surface-mounted LED on Holographic mesh. The aim is to retain the surrounding panel when the diagnosis and condition allow that repair. This is a different replacement scope from a design that requires a complete module or glass unit for the same local defect.

Service photographs from the technical comparison (4 Dec 2025, p. 5). Compare access to the LED and the replacement unit. Service procedures depend on the specified product and technician training.

In the service photograph, a technician can reach the LED package directly on the open mesh. The covered-circuit close-up illustrates why the repair scope must be confirmed for a different construction: ask whether the specified design permits local LED access or requires replacement of a larger assembly. The procedure shown belongs to its sample, rather than every product marketed as transparent film.

Compare the service procedure and the physical access together. A serviceable LED still needs to be reached. A screen high above an atrium, behind fixed joinery or across a large glass surface may require access equipment or removal of an affected section. Plan that route before the screen is installed.

Ask what spare parts should be supplied, how the technician identifies the correct component and what checks follow repair. Clarify who performs diagnosis, whether service happens on site or after removal, and how the repaired section is checked against the rest of the display. Avoid translating individual LED repair into an unsupported promise of a fixed repair time or percentage cost saving.

The photograph shows panel divisions, control housings and wiring. These are useful details to request in your own layout drawing: they help locate the connections and the space needed for service. The photograph itself does not establish a field reliability result.

Use one sample and quotation checklist

Agree on the comparison conditions before reviewing competing samples. Send the same project inputs to every supplier and ask them to identify the configuration shown. Where a result differs, first check whether the settings, mounting or equipment also differ.

For DOIT VISION, the current Holographic architecture gives you four concrete points to assess: equal pitch in both directions, integrated-driver static driving, parallel addressing and individual LED service. Match those features to the site rather than treating any single one as a complete installation specification.

Send screen dimensions, glass divisions, viewing distance, content, exposure, daily operating hours and maintenance access. Include the destination country and target installation date. We can then review the product configuration, layout, wiring and service scope for the quotation. The transparent LED range provides the alternative product routes if the site requirements point to a different structure.

FAQ

Compare horizontal and vertical pixel pitch, the driving method, behaviour after an individual LED fault, and the smallest serviceable part. Tie those answers to the exact sample and quotation. Then review the screen dimensions, brightness conditions, environmental exposure and maintenance access. Similar marketing names or appearance do not establish that two displays use the same architecture or have the same service scope.

Integrated-driver construction incorporates the driver function into the LED package. Static driving means the pixels are driven without multiplex row selection. Current DOIT VISION Holographic combines both features. These terms describe different aspects of the design, and neither replaces a camera test at the intended brightness, frame rate and shutter setting. Brightness modulation and content timing still matter during filmed use.

Equal horizontal and vertical pitch gives the pixel grid the same sampling density along both axes. Current DOIT VISION Holographic uses evenly spaced pixels in both directions. When comparing another display, request both pitch values and the native resolution for the proposed area. Evaluate thin lines, text and actual artwork at the intended distance, using consistent image scaling and aspect ratio.

In current DOIT VISION Holographic, parallel addressing allows the remaining LEDs to receive data when an individual LED fails. This addresses the behaviour of a local LED fault. Power supplies, receiving cards, cables and connections have separate failure modes, so review the complete layout as well. Ask for a defined fault demonstration rather than assuming every type of fault remains local.

A trained technician can replace an individual surface-mounted LED on current Holographic mesh when the diagnosis and panel condition allow it. Compare this service scope with the module or glass-unit replacement required by the other proposed design. Confirm physical access, spare parts, technician responsibilities and checks after repair before installation; local LED service still requires a workable maintenance route.

Request photographs of the unlit structure, both pitch values, the native resolution and the driving configuration. Ask for documented fault behaviour, the smallest serviceable part and a maintenance-access drawing. Evaluate actual content at the intended brightness and camera settings where relevant. Keep these records linked to the quotation, alongside the mounting, environmental protection, power distribution, control equipment and spare parts.
